Chapter 2

The time has now come for me to begin a new chapter in my life. Today was the last day that I worked at Reltec, Marconi, Emerson. I was employed with the 3 name company for 12 1/2 years. It was a learning experience all the way around. I was tough at times, learning new ways to work with people and new jobs to. My career at Emerson has been a very rewarding one. Several people had came and gone before me. I have made and met some wonderful people there. Leaving the plant today was bitter sweet. I actually haven't decided if it was more sweet or more bitter. Friends come and go like the wind and rain. Several will be remembered forever. I had the opportunity to work with great managers and supervisors. None of them will ever be forgotten. I take home lots of fond memories. The road that was greatly traveled will not be traveled again.
Thanks to all who share it with me.

Yummy for the Tummy

Yes it is that time of year again. BLUEBERRIES!!! We have about 7-8 trees in our yard. Blueberries are all over them. We have picked every evening for 3 days straight. IMAGINE. Well we have given this basket full to some friends in our church two times. I am learing to incorporate a cute cars as I do it. This card is using the Stampin Up set "Yummy". The image of the girl came from a RAK that I am in on CopicCrafters. She is colored with Copic Markers. Copics used, E33, R27, B21, V04, RV14. Which I am sloooowwllllyyy learing to use. But one day I will win. I also used the cuttlebug embossing plate With Gratitude for the flowers. The papers are from the scrap bin. I also added Close To My Heart Glitter on the stamped image.

Thanks for looking.

Random Ribbon???

Ok, I know all of you have ribbon. That has gotten out of hand right? Well mine actually slithered out on my table and tried to grab me and tie me up. I had to get a better solution. No not not buy anymore. Silly thought. WHATEVER. I love my ribbon. I am a collector I guess. I am learning how to use it more on crafts.
I got ready to craft one evening and this is what I saw on the table creeping towards me!!

SCARY HUH??
We I managed to tackle that pile rather quickly. After I contained it into a sack. Yeah it was tightly secured shut!!! I rounded up every pencil I owned. And WHACK off with the points and erasers!! Proud I smiled. Now off to get that bag of tiny furry arms!! Oh did I tell ya I stashed it in the closet to keep it from getting loose? After spending the remaining evening nurturing the threads. I have them all neatly nestled back into their beloved home.
Although there is still a few remnants left to capture. They seem to be quite happy. At least I sure am.
So get in there girls and round up that wild ribbon and get that stuff contained where they belong. This process worked great for me since I don't have wall space to display them, they seem to be well contained.
Thanks for looking.

One of A Kind

Made a really cute mini album. Still trying to decide on which person will get it. Humm thats a hard decision. Soon someone will know.... Well I have been collecting chipboard from note pads for a long time. I try to figure out some way to eventually use it up. This album is a 6x6 size. I covered it with some really pretty paper from a My Minds Eye slab I got from Hobby Lobby. Some of the pages inside are 3x6. I used the BIA to bind it all together. I used inks, bling, flowers, buttons, lots of ribbon all over it. I obtained some shipping tags that I also covered with pretty paper. I think it turned out great. Take a moment to check out the pics. Thanks for looking.

Time to Scrap??

Got this great clock from Heidi Swap at Scrapbook Expo 2009 in Atlanta, GA. It came in an awesome bag filled with great goodies. I have finally done something with it. But it needs more. I think. The numbers are white. I thought about painting them a "HOT PINK". Maybe even a "LIME GREEN". Who knows what it needs? I think maybe some crazy bling bling. Got any ideas as to what I can add to it? Let me know.
Thanks for looking.

YOU Tube World

I have officially jumped into the You Tube world. I have been wanting to make how to videos of crafts but never "just did it". Well I finally jumped in. Take a moment to get yourself ready for some wonderful laughing times. I hope that they are clear enough to understand. I learned how to make the toilet tissue mini albums. Yes this is made from a toilet paper roll. I used 6 of them. All flattened out. Inked the edges with Stampin Up inks. Used glitter and bling and ribbons to decorate. The paper is from a paper slab from Hobby Lobby. I also used the Cricut to cut out the flowers. Thanks for watching.

~~~CRICUT SWARM ANYONE~~~
Anyone ever been a part of a Cricut Swarm? If so please let me know ok.
Ok the LaGrange, Georgia ladies that are wanting to do a Cricut Swarm. We need to come up with a group name for it.  Something flashy, sasy or just simple. Either way would be cool. Be thinking on a name for our group. Then we can actually register the group for prizes!!
More to post later.
Marietta Road Trip 3-13-2010
Sorry a little late in posting the wonderful outcome. Kristin, Kay and Barbara went and met a new scrapbook/stamper Millie. She welcomed us in her wonderful huge studio and taught us a mini class on Friendship Girls. Way cute gals to.
Then she led the way down the road to a wonderful stamp/scrapbook store Impressive Ideas. http://www.impressiveideas.net/
That has been the most rubber stamps I have seen in my life at one time!!. And some awesome cards hung up everywhere!!. Can't wait to scraplift some to. Can't post them all. I made a lot of pictures to.
After lots of googling there were were off to Rubber Stamp Fantasy. It was a nice store. Lots of stamps as well. It was a nise visit to. Then had lunch at McDonalds. Then off on the road again to Archivers.
After Archivers Kristin and myself were off to Hobby Lobby. What some great items on sale there!!. We passed the BIG CHIC. Well you know scrapbookers... Had to stop for a photo.
We found a cute pet shop store and toured it also. Then the "MAIN EVENT". MARIETTA DINER!!!
That was like heaven. The place was packed. Eating area huge, parking lot huge, (I know I circled it 3 times). After parking and waiting 45 min for a table. The big moment arrived. Kristin and I fell into Paella hard!!. What a wonderful dish. We for obvious reasons didn't eat it all.
Then we ordered desert. Can someone say HUGE??? What a slice of cake. I looked like 1/4 of the cake was ours. Never got a bite of that till we got home.
Here is another peek at the desert case.
Hugh and I shared ours and we had left overs of it for Sunday to. Man the day was super windy and cold, spotty rain. But a great time!!.
Thanks again Millie for the tour. We hope to make it back for some more shopping fun and attend a great class.
