Valentines For Kids

A local radio station http://www.j933.com/Article.asp?id=1643379 is hosting a great event for kids. Copied from the web page.
It's that time of year again. With the new year, comes Valentine's for Kids. You can be a part of it by making handmade Valentine's cards for children at Christian City, Georgia Baptist Children's Homes, and other children's homes around the area.
We will list drop-off locations soon, but for now, get your school, church, or civic groups to work making cards that show these kids the love of Christ. We will hand each child a bag full of your cards on Saturday, February 13 at our Valentine's for Kids Party.
A Few Guidelines For Your Cards
Cards should be gender neutral.
Messages should be positive and loving.
They should be completely handmade.

We as crafters can so get involved to. Making some Valentine Cards for them. I am working on mine now. I think I will make about 50. They are really cute to. I am using a textured 3x3 cardstock. Stamped images Love2Hug set and Joy2Christmas set from The Stamps of Life Stephanie has the perfect set for this event to. I am using the Stampin Up Scallop punch, pop dots, white gel pen and Stampin Up Passion Pink ink. Red cardstock is from Michaels Recollections brand paper. Simply just stamped the heart image cut it out and mounted on scallop punch with pop dots. Then mount on 3x3 base card. Stamp happy day and ink edges. Add dots to scallop punch. Turn base card over and stamp hearts and to and from. Then your all done. Great quick gift for any kid.
Thanks for looking
