Bag of Cards Again

The cutest thing and super simple I snagged from the internet was a bag of cards. Well you actually make the bag from cardstock and then you make the cards and it is a gift. Super quick and simple to.

I used a calendar instead of a notepad. Need to get stamps!!! I made this with My Minds eye paper slab. (I forget the style, just know i have to much paper) Using great print outs and a wonderful video tutorial I managed to get this together. I need to make up more of these cute boxes for gifts for friends. They would really love them I am sure. Anyway thanks for looking!!.

My Time Made Easy Contest Entry

Created these two super cute cards using My Time Made Easy designs. I am entering the contest to be a design team member. Hopefully I will succeed. Thanks for looking.
The first card is made using the Water and Waverly Wiggles digi image. He has been colored with Stampin Up watercolored pencils. Pop dotted onto the Tasty Sampler digital paper designs and some scrap textured cardstock I also used Karen Foster brads to mount the card together. This was a very simple card to create. I was able to print, color and mount together.

This is the second card I created. Also using the same digi image Water and Waverly Wiggles. I also colored with Stampin Up colored pencils. Adhered this cutie with pop dots to retired Close To My Heart papers and scrap cardstock. The ribbon used is some generic grossgrain. Also added some fake stitching along the strip to make it pop.

Here's What's Cookin'

Well I have been hard at work this morning and for the last two weeks actually. Been canning lots of fruits and vegetables from our yard and some from farmers market. I must say it has kept me quite busy. I have found a new love I guess. To add to many other loves I enjoy. Today I canned Strawberry Fig Preserves. Whew had to get in and out of that kitchen before it got hot to. Average temperature here in Georgia has been hovering around 96... Believe me and thats hot. Steamy to, no rain for days. Nor even a good cloud cover, all sunny skies and hot ones. I canned 20 jelly jars this morning and will probably do the same tomorrow morning. Our figs are just starting to be ready for harvest so it is canning season again. Check out the fruit harvest below.

Chapter 2

The time has now come for me to begin a new chapter in my life. Today was the last day that I worked at Reltec, Marconi, Emerson. I was employed with the 3 name company for 12 1/2 years. It was a learning experience all the way around. I was tough at times, learning new ways to work with people and new jobs to. My career at Emerson has been a very rewarding one. Several people had came and gone before me. I have made and met some wonderful people there. Leaving the plant today was bitter sweet. I actually haven't decided if it was more sweet or more bitter. Friends come and go like the wind and rain. Several will be remembered forever. I had the opportunity to work with great managers and supervisors. None of them will ever be forgotten. I take home lots of fond memories. The road that was greatly traveled will not be traveled again.
Thanks to all who share it with me.

Yummy for the Tummy

Yes it is that time of year again. BLUEBERRIES!!! We have about 7-8 trees in our yard. Blueberries are all over them. We have picked every evening for 3 days straight. IMAGINE. Well we have given this basket full to some friends in our church two times. I am learing to incorporate a cute cars as I do it. This card is using the Stampin Up set "Yummy". The image of the girl came from a RAK that I am in on CopicCrafters. She is colored with Copic Markers. Copics used, E33, R27, B21, V04, RV14. Which I am sloooowwllllyyy learing to use. But one day I will win. I also used the cuttlebug embossing plate With Gratitude for the flowers. The papers are from the scrap bin. I also added Close To My Heart Glitter on the stamped image.

Thanks for looking.

Random Ribbon???

Ok, I know all of you have ribbon. That has gotten out of hand right? Well mine actually slithered out on my table and tried to grab me and tie me up. I had to get a better solution. No not not buy anymore. Silly thought. WHATEVER. I love my ribbon. I am a collector I guess. I am learning how to use it more on crafts.
I got ready to craft one evening and this is what I saw on the table creeping towards me!!

SCARY HUH??
We I managed to tackle that pile rather quickly. After I contained it into a sack. Yeah it was tightly secured shut!!! I rounded up every pencil I owned. And WHACK off with the points and erasers!! Proud I smiled. Now off to get that bag of tiny furry arms!! Oh did I tell ya I stashed it in the closet to keep it from getting loose? After spending the remaining evening nurturing the threads. I have them all neatly nestled back into their beloved home.
Although there is still a few remnants left to capture. They seem to be quite happy. At least I sure am.
So get in there girls and round up that wild ribbon and get that stuff contained where they belong. This process worked great for me since I don't have wall space to display them, they seem to be well contained.
Thanks for looking.

One of A Kind

Made a really cute mini album. Still trying to decide on which person will get it. Humm thats a hard decision. Soon someone will know.... Well I have been collecting chipboard from note pads for a long time. I try to figure out some way to eventually use it up. This album is a 6x6 size. I covered it with some really pretty paper from a My Minds Eye slab I got from Hobby Lobby. Some of the pages inside are 3x6. I used the BIA to bind it all together. I used inks, bling, flowers, buttons, lots of ribbon all over it. I obtained some shipping tags that I also covered with pretty paper. I think it turned out great. Take a moment to check out the pics. Thanks for looking.
